Sri Radha Govinda Dasi gives various important tips to improve the Sunday feast program at ISKCON temples (The International Society for Krishna Consciousness) at ILS (ISKCON Leadership Sanga – 2014)

“Sunday Love-Feast” is a weekly gathering at the ISKCON temple to hear and discuss Vedic philosophy, engage in kirtans and bhajans followed by sumptuous Krishna prasadam.

The Founder Acarya of the Hare Krishna Movement, Srila Prabhupada started the Sunday Feast Program in early 1960’s in New York. He would personally invite guests, cook entire meal. He would serve the devotees a variety of tasty Indian-vegetarian preparations. Along with the vegetarian feast, Srila Prabhupada would sing the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra with the guests, dance and give a lecture on Bhagavad-gita.

Every ISKCON temple across the world holds a celebratory Sunday Feast Program. The program is also know as Priti-vardhanam. People come together and experience joyful kirtana (congregational chanting), inspiring lecture on the Bhagavad Gita, a traditional Vedic arati ceremony, and a complementary six-course vegetarian feast. People are invited to come along with family and friends to come and taste the highest bliss which we all are hankering for.
