The now “ruling” BJP political party is the “political wing” of the RSS) organized a meeting of sadhus and Hindu religious leaders from around Gujarat State, with RSS Sarsangh Chalak (Chief) Sri Mohan Bhagawat, at Kathwada, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad.

The program was organized by, Gujarat State Secretary, Dharma Jagaran manch Sri Kirti Bhatt, Gujarat State President of the Dharma Jagaran manch, Sri Ghanshyam Vyas, and Gujarat RSS Dharma Jagaran samanvay vibhag member Sri Satyam Rao.

Dr. Jayanti Badeshia, RSS Gujarat Sangh Chalak, a resident of Morvi in Saurashtra, shared the podium with Sri Mohan Bhagawat, and briefly addressed the gathering.

Thereafter, Sri Mohan Bhagawat addressed the religious leaders, and he made three simple points.

First of all, he appealed to the dharma gurus and sadhus who were present to motivate their disciples and followers to gather together at home with family members and discuss daily “about anything EXCEPT cricket, politics, and TV/cinema”! He termed this “parivar prabodhan” “enlightening the family”.

He then made a plea to the religious heads to encourage the use of Hindi.

Finally he said that he and his organization were committed to support the revival of Samskritam (Sanskrit) language in India.

After his speech, he met informally but briefly with the sadhus and religious heads, since he was headed to the the main stage program where thousands of people had gathered for the RSS volunteers meeting, that was underway at the site. That meeting was for three days, from January 2-4, 2015, and this was the last day of the program.
